IDECO's Teen Talk on Self-Confidence initiative is a crucial step towards sustainable development and empowering young minds. It integrates self-confidence training into educational settings, contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 5: Gender Equality. By instilling confidence and ambition, IDECO ensures every child has the opportunity to pursue their dreams and break free from poverty cycles. The initiative's success is further strengthened by IDECO's commitment to collaboration, exemplifying SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. A Transformative Experience for Students
The event was attended by enthusiastic students, teachers, and community leaders, creating a safe space for discussions on self-worth, goal-setting, and personal growth. Through interactive sessions, role-playing exercises, and motivational talks, students gained valuable insights into the power of self-belief and determination. As part of IDECO’s commitment to continuous learning, the organization distributed souvenirs, including books and educational materials, to inspire ongoing self-improvement. Flyers with motivational messages reinforced the key themes of self-confidence, reminding students of their limitless potential.
Lasting Impact and Community Support
The impact of this initiative extends beyond the classroom, promoting a generation of confident, ambitious, and proactive youth who will positively contribute to their communities. Teachers and parents expressed gratitude for the program’s role in shaping students' attitudes and aspirations
"This program has transformed the way our students see themselves. Many of them struggle with self-doubt, but today, they leave with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose," said a teacher from Old Tafo JHS.
